The Department of Home Affairs has announced a new opportunity for candidates to apply for a position as a My Private Secretary. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including exercising control over individuals and securing entry and departure at the Border Post.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including knowledge of the Departmental policies and procedures, willingness to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and public holidays.

In terms of qualifications, the department is seeking candidates with a basic education (ABET) with 7-12 months' experience. The salary level for this position is R81 312 to R95 784 per annum, Level 3, in addition to a range of competitive benefits.

The positions are available at two centres: Ficksburg Bridge (Port Control) in the Free State Province and Onverwacht (Port Control) in KwaZulu-Natal Province.
